Speaking
When I speak, I don’t tell a story about disability — I share a story about possibility.
My approach combines candor, humor, and lived experience. I believe that people learn best when they feel something — when they’re engaged, challenged, and invited into a story that reflects their own struggles and potential. Whether I’m talking to executives, students, athletes, or educators, my goal is the same: to leave people with a deeper sense of what they’re capable of.
My talks blend personal narrative with practical mindset shifts, always grounded in real-world application. I’m a firm believer that confidence isn’t something you’re born with — it’s built through experience and adversity.
One of the signature keynotes that I’m most excited about now is The 7 Cs of How to Be a Champion
This keynote grew out of my love of the outdoors and survival philosophy — specifically the “5 Cs” of bushcraft. I adapted that framework into something bigger and deeply personal:
The 7 Cs of How to Be a Champion.
Each “C” represents a critical trait, shaped by my journey from losing my sight as a child, to running my first mile at age 22, to becoming the first blind athlete to finish an Ultraman triathlon. I use storytelling, reflection, and unapologetic honesty to show how each trait plays out in real life — in sport, in work, and in everyday growth.
Selected Speaking Highlights

New York Life — Corporate Keynote
A deep dive into the Champion’s mindset, including the role of resilience, systems, confidence earned through effort, and a thoughtful discussion on how AI intersects with disability and employment.

All-School Assembly: K-12 Student Audience (300 students)
One of my most rewarding challenges: holding the attention of first-graders and high school seniors at the same time. I tailored this talk so the youngest students walked away inspired and curious, while older students connected with discipline, purpose, and more macro level value.

TASP (Telluride Adaptive Sports Program) Annual Fundraiser
A personal and heartfelt keynote blending stories from the slopes, the power of adaptive sports, and what it means to live a life of bold possibility. Speaking to a room of donors, athletes, and supporters reminded me how shared mission can unite a community.

Healthcare Leadership Conference — Arizona
I spoke to healthcare executives and clinical leaders about the connection between personal fitness, intentional goal-setting, and sustainable performance. Drawing from endurance sport, I explored how the same systems athletes use — stress management, progressive overload, disciplined recovery, and purpose-driven routine — can directly strengthen healthcare teams navigating burnout, high demand, and rapid change.

United Nations — International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD)
I had the honor of speaking at the United Nations for IDPD, where I shared how sport acts as a universal language that bridges cultures, abilities, and communities. My talk highlighted the unifying nature of movement — how training, teamwork, and shared challenge create deeper human connection across borders and lived experiences.
